RW: Katie + Nathan | Milford, CT

Whether you were in it for the commercials, the snacks or the game itself, most of us spent yesterday watching Football. In honor of our incredible Texas High School Football Coach Groom Nathan + his beautiful wife Katie, this felt like the most fitting day possible to recap their July 4th wedding!

When Katie first reached out to Amy last March, the date + location were already set into place, there was just one thing missing – the engagement. It isn’t everyday that we begin planning a wedding for a couple that isn’t officially engaged, but it was sort of incredible that we had the opportunity to celebrate two huge life events with them!

I remember the first day we met Katie + Nathan we were talking about design details + at one point we asked Nathan his opinion on something. He paused for a second, then turned and said, “I’m marrying Katie, so everything else is a bonus.”  Those words couldn’t have been portrayed more perfectly than with the infectious smiles on their faces the entire day of the wedding.

The tent had an incredible view of Charles Island + was full of nautical navy + white with pops of the Texas Rose yellow. It was the perfect combination of Katie + Nathan. This truly was a blast of a wedding!

Katie + Nathan, it was a pleasure working with you + your families! We miss you dearly + will always think of you on the 4th of July, and Superbowl Sunday!

It was all about the little details!

It was all about the little details!

It's usually the ladies who are comparing ring sizes, but not in the case of Texas Football - it's all about the men here!

Katie wanted a Texas sized surprise for Nathan's Groom Cake, and I think you could say it worked with a little help from Lovely Cakes!

It wouldn't have been a 4th of July wedding without some fireworks!
