:: Crabtree Kittle House - Chappaqua, New York ::
Working with Liz and Carlos was nothing but a dream for the over a year from the time they booked until they finally said I Do. Liz and Carlos are so incredibly supportive and kind that there was no question that they would have the hands down most phenomenal day for their wedding. The weather was warm with a slight October chill in the air, the bride and her maids just glowed under the early fall sun. Liz and Carlos' day was chock full of classic and historic Westchester architecture from the ceremony at St. Patrick's in Bedford, New York to the reception at the Crabtree Kittle House in Chappaqua.
Liz & Carlos LOVED the bar at the Kittle House, its dark wood features and warm yet funky Edison bulbs, as well as the copper elements that carried throughout the bar. At one point Liz said, "I wish the reception could just be in the bar!" and I said - "a ha! There is our inspiration direction!" Everything we brought into the reception space was inspired by the bar. The amber uplighting from Shindig Lighting, the copper sequin linens from La Tavola Linen, the dark navy accents and abundance of candlelight.
The wedding decor was beautiful and fitting but the true beauty laid within the little big moments. The speeches, the 1st dance between Carlos & Liz, and you all know my fave - the Father-Daughter dance. Liz and her dad danced to The Way You Look Tonight, by Steve Tyrell (The Father of the Bride theme song - my personal favorite movie of all time). This was truly a perfect last wedding of the 2013 season.
CONGRATS LIZ & CARLOS!! Miss you so much!
