{ The ACE 8 - Champagne & Glitter }

Champagne & Glitter - two words that are music to my ears. For those of you that know me, these are two of my favorite things, so putting them together makes perfect sense. The two quotes above are not only something I live by, but they have sort of become my motto in everyday life. Okay, that’s enough about my obsession with champagne & glitter, but now I want to show you how to make them part of your special day. I know that more than one or two of these things at a wedding could be overwhelming to anyone, except me of course, but this is a way that you can add a little glitz and glamor in a subtle and fun way. Of course you can use any shade of glitter, from gold to blue, but the fact that there is a champagne shade of glitter makes these two words connect on another level.

1. Sequin Linens:  This is a way that you can really WOW your guests. Sequin table linens are coming in all different colors and styles now and it’s a great way to add a little sparkle to your reception. Depending on how many tables you are going to have, it could be a little much to have these on every table, but consider having them on every other, or even spaced out at your sweetheart table, escort card table and dessert table.

2. Edible Glitter:  What little girl doesn't want to eat a delicious piece of cake covered in glitter? Your wedding day is about making all of the things you fantasized about as a little girl turn into a reality and with edible glitter, that is an easy one to check off your list. As you can see in the picture above, only one layer of the cake is covered in glitter and I think it’s just enough to make a statement and show off your fun side.

3. Glitter Votives: This is an easy DIY project that you can use at your wedding, and then bring home to use in your home. A little bit of glitter covering the outside of a glass votive gives any tablescape a little added shimmer and shine.

4. Nail Polish: For a bride who might want to be a little more subtle, this is one way to add some sparkle to your big day. This is one of my favorite shades of nail polish by OPI – My Favorite Ornament. It has just the right amount of glitter and is soft enough to not be overpowering for a bride.

5. Champagne Cocktail: This one is all about the champs. Discuss the idea of a signature cocktail or two, and of course make sure one has champagne. Search around online and you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the number of drinks you find. If you’re really adventurous, create your own drink, and remember, even the littlest amount of champagne goes a long way when mixed with other liquor.

6. Table Numbers: This is for the bride that wants to add a little extra sparkle in a place for their guests to see. The idea of the table number in front of pale pink flowers makes for a beautiful tablescape. Depending on the other colors in your wedding, this might me a place where you can add a little bit of the other color in glitter form as well.

7. Glitter Confetti – Whether it’s thrown as the bride & groom are walking out of the church, or you’re sending them off to their honeymoon, the idea of glitter confetti is one of my favorites on this whole board. The way it catches the light will make for a beautiful photo-op, and if you add some loose glitter to the pouches you have them in, it ends up being fun too!

8. Glitter Invitations: When you send out your save the dates or wedding invitations, give your guests a little preview of what’s to come by adding little hints of glitter. Whether it’s the inside of the envelope, or the boarder of the invitation itself, when your guests open up the envelope they will definitely be excited to see what’s next.
