:: Waveny House Wedding :: New Canaan, Connecticut

This past Friday I had the great pleasure to shadow the fabulous Georgia Nash with Timeless Weddings by Georgia at the Waveny House in New Canaan, Connecticut.

This venue could have been decorated with paper plates, plastic cutlery and centerpieces made out of construction paper and it still would have been beautiful. However, Georgia and her bride and groom went all out with the decor for the venue. The theme for the wedding was "Old Hollywood" with movies such as Casablanca and Gone with the Wind playing on the dance floor. The centerpieces were a mix of breathtaking high centerpieces and trees with flowers and candlelight hanging from the branches. Alena the bride brought the chiavari chairs into the Waveny House and her negotiation certainly paid off. Those chairs truly kept with the integrity of the venue and added a HUGE wow factor.

When speaking to Kevin, the New Canaan Police Officer hired to work the evening he said in all the years working this venue he has never seen it so well done. Kudos to you Georgia and Alena! After dinner the guests and wedding party danced the night away to the beats spun by

Parties Alive, Premiere Entertainment

. There was never a time when people were not on the dance floor, and needless to say I couldn't help a little shoulder shake or two while overseeing the event in a corner.

There were some awesome touches throughout the night such as the cocktail hour musician singing classic tunes by Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and a Cigar Roller that was a HUGE hit, even the bride enjoyed one! As well as a sparkler send off at the end of the night. I cannot wait to see the pictures of that!

The wedding was truly magnificent and I am so thankful to Georgia for the opportunity to work with her. Can't wait for the next one!!
